How Does the Hyundai Self-Styled "America's Best Warranty" Compare to Other Brands?

If you're a proud owner, you may already know: its new-vehicle coverage is an industry leader. But if you're new to Hyundai, you're probably wondering what all the talk's about.

Say you decide to purchase or lease a new Hyundai from us here in the Torrington, CT area. Sign on the dotted line of that car loan or lease agreement, and you can look forward to peace of mind that your investment will be well taken care of down the road. That's thanks to the Hyundai Assurance program, of which our automaker's warranty coverage is an important part. We'll bet you have questions about the whole thing. Not to worry: the experts at Torrington Hyundai are here to fill you in.

What is Hyundai Assurance?

It's a host of services available to new Hyundai owners. It features access to Blue Link® connected services and remote functionality, provides support via Hyundai Car Care, and most of all, incorporates vehicle coverage under "America's Best Warranty."

  • A 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty
  • 7 years of anti-perforation coverage, with unlimited miles
  • Roadside assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week for 5 years and across unlimited miles
  • 12 months or 12,000 miles of limited coverage for replacement parts and accessories
  • Federal Emission Defect and Performance coverage for 8 years or 80,000 miles

Models like Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Sonata Plug-in Hybrid, Ioniq Electric, Ioniq Hybrid, and Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid also incorporate:

  • A lifetime hybrid battery warranty
  • 10 years or 100,000 miles of hybrid starter and generator coverage
  • Hybrid power control unit coverage for 10 years or 100,000 miles
  • Coverage for 10 years or 100,000 miles on the automatic transmission, including traction motor

Coverage details might vary a little. Take a look at your owner's manual for the final word.

What does Hyundai Roadside Assistance cover?

In short, help during two free roadside events per year, including:

  • During a breakdown, towing to the nearest Hyundai dealer or authorized service facility
  • A host of roadside services, ranging from jump starts and flat tire changes to lock-out service, gas delivery up to three gallons, and a trip interruption benefit if applicable

How Does Hyundai Coverage Compare to the Rest?

You can count on 5 more years and 40,000 more miles or powertrain coverage than Toyota, Honda, Nissan, or Chevrolet, and 4 more years and 30,000 more miles than Lexus. The Hyundai New Vehicle Limited Warranty excels these competitors by 2 years/24,000 miles and 1 year/10,000 miles respectively. On anti-perforation coverage, Hyundai outclasses them by 2 years and 1 year respectively.

Needless to say, with our manufacturer, quality is on prominent display.
